“Firstly, sit down & introspect. Write about your likes & dislikes on a piece of paper.

See, science PCM has loads of maths in it. If you are 100% confident in pursuing a subject which has maths, then go for it. PCM + bio is for people who love biology. It is tough too, just like other subjects.

Now, Commerce with maths - generally has economics, accounts, business studies as the main subjects. They are new subjects to everyone, Accounts & economics has maths and a business study is a pure language subject. Commerce is for people who do not like science/humanities, are practical people.

Now, humanities / arts - has history / Pol. science/geography / psychology as the main subject. If you love social science, go for it. They are theoretical subjects.

Now, the subject you take should be the one you love. I went for the humanities since I don't want to burden myself with tough subjects (maths is a tough subject for me). Also, if you don't want to burden yourself with tough subjects/ preparations/tuitions, go for humanities. If you want to pursue NDA, go for PCM. If you love biology, go for PCM +B. If you are a practical person, with an interest in business/ calculations/transactions, go for commerce.

Take the subject that would help you to take up course you want to pursue after 12th. There's no point of opting PCM/PCM +B / commerce if you simply want to do English honors after 12th. Do what would help you after 12th & would not burden you!”
